How to watch the live event - very important information!
You will be able to view the event at www.puffinvirtuallylive.co.uk.
Make sure you register in advance, then you will simply have to enter your email address to login.
Make sure you can watch the live broadcast before the event: • Once you have registered, you will be able to choose which format you would like to use to watch the live webcast (Windows Media or Flash). You can change the setting underneath the video player. Click on the 'check your computer' option under the 'What to do next?' section on the right hand side of your screen. Alternatively, you can also check your computer here.
On the day of the event:
• Make sure you login to view the live event.
• BUFFERING: During the broadcast the screen may freeze occasionally. This is known as buffering, which can happen if your internet connection is slow. Don't try to adjust anything - please just be patient and wait for the broadcast to continue.
Viewing the event after the live broadcast: • You will be able to watch the on-demand video after the live broadcast at www.puffinvirtuallylive.co.uk. You do not need to register or login to watch our on-demand events.
I can't see the test stream in either format.
It may be that your internet connection isn't fast enough to receive the live feed. As a comfortable minimum, your internet should have a download speed of 1mbps. You can check your download speed at www.speedtest.net. Keep in mind that a hard line connection is always more stable than wifi. It may be that you need to request computer use in the rest of the organisation is kept to a minimum during the live broadcasts. Where will the event be shown?
The event is shown on this website (www.puffinvirtuallylive.co.uk). Please make sure you have registered and logged in to the stream you are trying to watch.

How long will the event last?
Our events last 30 to 45 minutes. You'll find the exact time for each event under the event information section.
Can we ask the author questions?
The author will answer a selection of questions during the event. You can submit your questions in advance here, or live on the day as you watch the webcast. You need to register and login to submit your questions. Please bear in mind that many thousands of children will be watching and will have submitted questions. Please don't be too disappointed if your question doesn't get asked.
Can we watch it at a later date?
You can watch all our past events at www.puffinvirtuallylive.co.uk/ondemand.
Will our organisation's firewall block the live video stream?
If you can see the test video stream on the webcast page then you will be able to view the live event. You can test your computer here. The webcast is provided in two formats (Windows Media and Flash), please check that at least one of these works for you. If you can't view either stream, please check with technical staff in your organisation - it may be that the stream is blocked and you need to ask them to unblock it.
